October & November 2018Rainbow Families Victoria proudly presents our Being Rainbow Ready community forums.

Rainbow Families Victoria proudly invites you to our Being Rainbow Ready community forums for our rainbow families in all different shapes and sizes.
Sending our precious bundles off to childcare or kinder for the first time, and especially when you take them for their first day of prep, can be both incredibly exciting and stressful for many families. There are new people to meet, new rules to learn and heaps of social interactions with other people you may not have met before – and that’s just the grown ups! We have designed a suite of community forums to help you navigate these important transitions in your family’s life.

Being Rainbow Ready community forums are a fabulous new opportunity for prospective and current rainbow families to meet with and chat to other families who already have children in childcare, kinder and primary school. Our upcoming forums will also explore the challenges of moving from Grade 6 to Year 7 with invited young people speaking too.

Our panel of diverse rainbow families will share their personal experiences, tips and ideas for successfully supporting our children and advocating for our families as we all begin this new and exciting stage of family’s life.

Our guests include a community childcare coordinator and a member of a primary school committee and members of rainbow families who will share their understanding of early childhood education and primary school environments – including how to raise a complaint or concerns, how decision making occurs and ideas for getting involved in your childcare, kinder or primary school community.

You will leave the community forum better informed about making the right decision for you and your family.

FREE but we appreciate bookings via Eventbrite.
