This new group established in 2018 run by Rainbow Families Victoria holds meets ups once a month to talk all things related to prospective parenting, fertility, coming out, parenting and pretty much anything the group wants to discuss! You can apply to join the secret FB group by emailing 

Gay Dads Victoria FB group

An online group that meets for events and provides lots of useful information relevant to gay/bi dads parenting in Victoria. Follow them on FB here.

Prospective Lesbian Parents (Melbourne)

A friendly and informal group for lesbians/same sex attracted women considering a range of parenting arangments including couples and sole parents. Meets once a month to hear from guest speakers and have general discussions about parenting.  New people are welcome to come along any time. Join the closed group on FB for the calendar and details. Meetings in Melbourne CBD on 3rd Tuesday of the month during 2018.

 drummond street services – queerspace

includes a range of programs for rainbow families, including family counselling, mediation, information and advocacy.  queerspace provides a safe and supportive space to obtain information and support services aimed at improving mental health and wellbeing by specialist queer and queer affirmative mental health practitioners. Located in Carlton with outreach to the Werribee clinic.

MIND Equality

A safe, healing place for people of the LGBTIQ community providing: psychological counselling for individuals and couples,, family relationship counselling, occupational therapy and sex therapy. Located in North Fitzroy.

The VAC Centre Clinic is a safe, friendly LGBTI General Practice We provide general health care for gay men, lesbians and trans people, as well as specialist medical care for people living with HIV and expert sexual health screening and treatment. Located in St Kilda Road.

Bouverie Street 

Bouverie is a state-wide provider of family-based therapy. We are funded to see a range of different families, especially those experiencing mental health issues, alcohol and other drug related problems, acquired brain injury (ABI) and/or complex and traumatic circumstances. Located in Brunswick and state wide outreach.

Northside Clinic

Northside Clinic is open to all, but has a particular focus on Sexual Health, as well as providing quality medical care in a safe and friendly environment for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and HIV positive communities in Melbourne’s north. The clinic provides comprehensive testing for and management of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) and HIV, as well as a full range of General Practice and Allied Health services. Located in North Fitzroy.
