Each year at the Annual General Meeting a committee of management is elected by the members. This year’s AGM was held on Sunday 11 September 2016 and was a magical success with the wonderful Cath Jamison wow-ing the crowds!

cathThe kids loved the show and then made some marvellous magic wands too!

magicWhile the kids enjoyed the magic, the rest of us participated in the AGM business side of things. We agreed to:

  1. Change our name to Rainbow Families Victoria

2. Stay as incorporated body so as to apply for the new LGBTIQ community grants introduced by the State Government.

3. Introduce a new Statement of Purpose to focus on advocacy, information  and education.

We also elected the new committee as per the Council’s Rules and Purposes of Association. We can have a committee of between five and 11 people. This includes two co-convenors, a secretary and a treasurer, and between one and seven ordinary members.

Members of the current committee are:

Annie Sparks

Sarah Marlowe

Jane Azul

Quinn Eades

Felicity Marlowe

Kat Bowden
