Federal Election 2010 - Rainbow Families Council statement about issues to be addressed

Posted on Jul 22 2010
News >>

Rainbow Families Council believes three key issues for rainbow families and children with same sex parents should be addressed on a Federal level.

These are Marriage Equality, discrimination in adoption law, and ensuring that federally-funded services are inclusive of children with same-sex parents and their families. By highlighting these, we aim to start conversations amongst candidates and political parties about the impact of discrimination on our children, our families and indeed all rainbow families across Australia.

Download the pdf document below (RFC Federal election statement). Please feel free to email the pdf document to your local federal MP or to the candidates in your area with a small note explaining why you believe these issues are important. You might want to add your own concerns as well.
