Rainbow Families e-group
Rainbow Families Victoria e-group is an email-based yahoo discussion group for lesbians and gay men who are prospective or current parents, and their children. The group, which has around 200 members, is also for supporters of rainbow families including health, legal, welfare and support agencies and individuals. The e-group is moderated by a committee of members of the Rainbow Families Council.
About the e-group
The e-group was established after the Rainbow Families 1 conference. A key issue raised at this first conference was the need for an email-based group to support and facilitate ongoing discussion about issues relating to rainbow families. The e-group has continued to develop from the Fertility Access Rights Group (now replaced by the Rainbow Families Council), as well as through the next two community conferences held in Melbourne, Rainbow Families 2 and Rainbow Families 3.

Rainbow Families Victoria e-group welcomes members who want to give and receive support, encouragement and affirmation. Rainbow Families Vic may enable referral to health, legal or other services, but takes no responsibility for the outcome of the referral.
Please note that Rainbow Families e-group is intended to be a safe and supportive space for people to participate freely. Derogatory or abusive postings will result in removal from the list immediately at the moderating committee's discretion. No advertising of products is accepted.
